NEWSBronze – der wieder entdeckte WerkstoffBronze - a material rediscovered

Die ersten Helme in der Geschichte der Menschheit wurden Anfang des dritten Jahrtausends vor Christi Geburt aus Bronze gefertigt, und erst mit Ende des Römischen Reiches verlor dieses Material seine Bedeutung für die Produktion von Kopfschutz-Technik. Bis zu dem Tage als im Jahr 2014 nach Christus im Fürstentum Monaco ein gewisser Sebastian Vettel zum Wagenrennen antritt und diesem Material zu neuem Glanz verhilft. Die neuste Schöpfung aus der Gestaltungs-Manufaktur JMD zu Germanien ist mit einer sehr dünnen Schicht Metalllack überzogen, und obwohl das Ergebnis schwer aussieht, ist das Kampfgewicht dieser Lackierung leichter als die meisten Helme mit einer normalen Design-Bemalung.

 

The first helmets in the history of mankind were made out ??of bronze at the beginning of the third millennium BC. This material lost it's importantance for the production of head protection technology at the end of the Roman Empire. The latest creation from the design-factory "JMD of Germania" is coated with a very thin layer of metal paint and even though the result looks as if it's heavy, the combat weight of this paint job is lighter than most helmets with conventional custom paintwork.
